Using emotions as a guide

Emotions are very useful when dealing with situations in our lives. The writer, Esther Hicks, has explained several ways to use emotions as a guide in every day situations.
From the scientific and spiritual points of view it have been said that there is a relationship between thoughts and emotions we feel. When we accept as truth harmful thoughts we feel bad and when we accept reasonable and constructive thoughts we feel peace and harmony.
When we are going through a situation and feel unpleasant emotions such as fear or hate means that the vision that we have on this situation is incorrect. Negative emotions are an indication that we have to improve our perspective on this situation. Everything in this Universe is there for a reason and negative emotions exist to help us identify areas where we must improve our consciousness. When we feel peace and harmony means that the perspective that we accept as true in relation to the situation, which we are going through, is correct.
A tool that helps us to improve our consciousness when we go through situations that make us feel in the wrong way is to ask what were the good things that we learned as a result of this situation. When we focus on learning about the negative we're bringing to the mind correct thoughts and we are discarding harmful thoughts. When we intend to improve our awareness on the areas that make us feel bad we are creating greater quality of life and greater emotional well being for us.
